What is a trademark in Egypt?
In Egypt, a trademark is a legally registered symbol, word, phrase, logo, design, or any combination thereof that distinguishes goods or services provided by a particular business or individual from those of others in the marketplace. Trademarks serve as a form of intellectual property and are used to protect the brand identity of products or services.
Egypt has been a member state of the Madrid Protocol since 2009, so it is easier to expand your trademark application internationally. A trademark in Egypt has the right to exclusively use a trademark and protects your trademark against third-parties from using or copying the trademark.
